My Favorite Things - July Release - Countdown Day 2

We're over the hump and in the finishing stretch to the July 6th new release.   This is Countdown Day 2 and my card today for My Favorite Things features the Rachelle Anne Miller illustrated stamp set called Beautiful Birthday Girl.

To create this sweet and simple CAS card I first grabbed an A2 panel of white cardstock and using Speckled Egg Distress Oxide Ink, I ink blended using the new stencil Watercolor Wash Free Form.   The beauty of these Watercolor Wash stencils is that they immediately create a beautiful focal point for your designs and there are 3 brand new shapes in the July release.

I adhered the panel to my card base then I used the brand new Happy Birthday Die-namics to create the large sentiment.  This is a two part die and I created 3 die cuts using white cardstock for the back piece and just one using the red which is Moroccan Spice Prestige cardstock.   I stacked and glued each one to the next and then adhered it to the focal point I'd created.

I stamped my images from Beautiful Birthday Girl and coloured them with Copic markers.  Here are my colours:-

Skin E04, E11, E21, E00, E000

Cheeks R00, R21

Hair E0000, E43, E44

Greens YG01, YG03, YG13

Reds R21, R22, R05, R08, R37

Shoes W2, W4

Bird E42, E43

I used the coordinating die-namics to die cut the images which I backed with foam tape and applied.

To complete the card a few sparkling clear sequins were applied for a little twinkle.
