There's a brand new Color Challenge at My Favorite Things starting today and this is my inspiration card which I hope will tempt you to enter your own challenge entry for a chance to win a $50 gift voucher. My card uses the new 'Flutterby Friends' stamp set.
To create my card I ink blended a panel of cardstock using Spun Sugar and Kitsch Flamingo Distress Oxide Inks. The lighter of the two pinks created a subtle focus. I uses white acrylic paint to splash up the background and over the top I layered a grass portion created by die cutting with the Grassy Hills Die-namics and then ink blending using Distress Oxides in Twisted Citron and Rustic Wilderness.
I used the A2 Rectangles Frames Die-namics to die cut a piece of white cardstock to create the frame which I backed with foam tape and applied.
I placed the framed panel in my Misti and doubly stamped the sentiment from Flutterby Friends and then this was set aside for a few minutes.
On Copic friendly cardstock I stamped my images from Flutterby Friends and coloured them with Copic markers, the coordinating die-namics were used to die cut the images which I then backed with dimensional foam tape and applied to the scene.
Points were highlighted with a white gel pen and the the little girl's butterfly wings and the butterflies were glittered.
The panel was applied to my card base and the card was then complete.
I hope you join the challenge!
Nicky, this card is so GORGEOUS♥ I am fairly new to sponging backgrounds and am LOVING creating skies with cloud stencils especially, but I LOVE how you and the MFT teammies create such colorful sky variations like PINK! LOVE this so much! Thanks for the inspiration! You rock.
