My Favorite Things - Color Challenge 167

Hi there, thanks for coming along to read about the brand new Color Challenge 167 from My Favorite Things.   Here's my inspiration card with the colour palette beneath it.   Read on for all the details.

To create this card I first ink blended an A2 panel of white cardstock using Distress Oxide Inks in Peacock Feathers fading to Tumbled Glass.   I hit it with my heat gun briefly to express dry the ink and then used my Embossing Buddy to remove any static.   I placed the panel in my Misti and using Versamark Ink I used the new Abstract Roses Background stamp and then heat embossed with white embossing powder.

This panel was die cut using a die from the A2 Stitched Rectangle STAX Die-namics and adhered to a slightly larger Kraft cardstock panel which in turn was adhered to an A2 white cardstock base.

On Copic friendly cardstock I stamped the images from the Rachelle Anne Miller illustrated stamp set called Tweetheart.   I used Copic colours BG0000, BG11 and G00 to colour the birds with YG07 for the beaks.  I used YG01, YG03 and YG17 for the leaves.   Tree branch is E42, E43 and E44.

Images were die cut using the coordinating die-namics and a few points were highlighted with a white gel pen before backing them with foam tape and applying, along with the sentiment stamped to a strip of cardstock.

Sparkle time!   I adhered just a few small sparkling clear sequin accents tucked here and there for a finishing touch and with that the card was complete!

I hope you will enter the challenge and play along for a chance to win a $50 gift card.   Good luck!
