Pig Day by Hello Bluebird

Hello!  This is Pig Day from Hello Bluebird.  I'm sharing two cards in this post that I've made with this set and some of you may have noticed that I already shared in recent weeks on Instagram two other cards also made using Pig Day but before I was able to share that I had been invited to join their Design Team.

My cards are now proudly displaying the pretty and distinctive Hello Bluebird watermark.

For this card I ink blended and die cut the background.  I distressed it a little and did second generation stamping of tufts of grass to keep them super subtle.  The sentiments were stamped.  I applied this blended panel over the top of a pink cardstock panel (lifted up on craft foam) and then adhered this to the A2 card base which is white.

On Bristol Strathmore Smooth cardstock I stamped my images using Ranger Archival Ink in black and then watercolour painted them using Kuretake Zigs and then they were die cut and adhered using foam tape. I highlighted a few little areas using a Uniball Signo White pen.

Here's a last little look at the card showing the lovely dimension.

For my second card today using Pig Day I've tried to recreate a look of the past and yet somehow keep it entirely present day.

This card starts with a slightly smaller than A2 panel of Neenah Solar White 110lb cardstock.  I stamped it using the Cozy Plaid Background stamp by Hello Bluebird in my Misti using pink ink.  I then distressed/aged the edge of the panel using Antique Linen Distress Ink to make it look like it had become discoloured over time.

Next I stamped my images onto Strathmore Bristol Smooth cardstock using Ranger Archival Ink in black.  I watercolour painted them using my Kuretake Zigs and then die cut them and made a little arrangement with them in the centre of the panel.  Once happy with the scene they were mounted with foam tape and framed out with a pink die cut. I stamped the sentiment and adhered it and then I mounted the panel to the A2 card base which is again the lovely sturdy Neenah Solar White 110lb weight.

So here is a final look at the card from a different angle.  I didn't feel on this occasion that any further embellishment was necessary, I just like it for its sweet simplicity.

I do hope you enjoy these two cards using Hello Bluebird products.  Many many more cards coming your way from myself and the rest of the team.  Stay tuned!

    1. Thank you Charlene. This was 4 years ago and I don't recall what set the frame is from and I don't own it anymore. It will have been part of a stacked set with larger sizes included. This could have been MFT but not discontinued or Lawn Fawn, possibly Mama Elephant or even Avery Elle. I'm so sorry I can't help you but I think if you search those companies you are likely to find something very similar. Good luck!

    2. Thanks Nicky - I found it - it was LF Reverse stitched scalloped rectangle windows. I realized afterward that I have something similar from Pink & Main! Thank you for taking the time to answer me even though the post was older. That was very sweet of you.

    3. I'm delighted that you found it even though it seems you don't 'need' it since you have something similar. I'm always very happy to try and help!
